'The Reborn (The Book of Dain)' by Casse Narome

Title: The Reborn: The Book of Dain
Author: Casse Narome
Genre: YA Paranormal

Dain has lived a total of ninety-nine different lifetimes and in every single one, he has loved the same girl. Their past is marred by ill-fated romance and almost encounters.

Evil forces have conspired to keep the two of them a part and it seems to have succeeded ...

Tara is gone, and in her place stands Bonnie, the complete opposite of Tara.

Is Dain's shot at love over or has he lived all these lives because he has loved the wrong girl all along?

A hundred chances at love ... and it comes down to only one.

Read an excerpt:
Bonnie folded her arms and glared at me. Akila looked back and forth between us, obvious concern creasing her forehead. “Do you want me to talk to her?” she whispered, as she stood at my side and kicked at the fallen leaves. She was having as much fun with them as a kid would.

“I don‘t think it would help. She knows the entire situation, and she still doesn‘t see it my way.”

“Have you tried your hardest, or did you flash her that smile of yours and give up when she didn‘t drool over it?”

“Kila, I—I am trying, but there hasn‘t really been time.”

“Dylan, take the time. Even I can see something is wrong, and that you aren‘t happy. Rage just pours from you, and I‘m familiar with that kind of anger—trust me. Let it go, sweetheart, let it go.”

“I can‘t. He took the one person I loved from me,” I declared, through clinched teeth. I hated the one person I couldn‘t make pay. The bastard was protected by being locked inside of me. I would have to find comfort in the fact that I had finally gotten rid of him. Forever.

“She is right there.”

“She will be the first to tell you, she isn‘t.” I walked away, but Akila stopped me with a hand on my shoulder, turning me until I faced her.

“I know you are badass, Superman, but you can‘t take on the world.”

“Not the world.”

She grinned. “Well, just remember you have friends if you need them.”

“You, the ball buster?” I teased. She was more of a brat than a ball buster.

“Yes me! Why won‘t anyone believe me? Is it my looks?” She stomped her foot and totally made my point for me.

“Yeah! You are like a size zero. You will break a bone if the wind blows.”

“Shut up!”

“Thank you, Akila.”

She nodded and pulled me into a hug. “Anytime.”
